When it comes to gaining insight into the health of your programs and identifying areas for improvement, there are few better approaches than a data-based analysis which draws from the practices and operations of other organizations in the industry.
With this in mind and the intent to create a tool that benefits the credentialing community as a whole, the ICE Research and Development (R&D) committee has invested in the Business of Certification Benchmarks, a versatile and interactive benchmarking platform to update the previous report, Business of Certification Survey.
The new survey platform is an interactive, online benchmarking tool that measures key performance indicators from credentialing organizations and provides dynamic, personalized reporting.
Through data analysis, benchmarking information can show gaps in your processes and identify new opportunities to improve performance and gain a competitive edge.
Your organization’s participation is critical. The more data collected, the more dynamic and accurate the tool will be for the credentialing community. Data collected by June 15 will be reviewed and included in the executive summary analysis produced by the ICE R&D subcommittee. All data collected after June 15 will not be included in the executive summary, however ICE still encourages the community to participate and take advantage of this valuable tool.
Benchmarking data compares your organization, operations, and practices against other organizations in your industry and the broader marketplace. Through data analysis, benchmarking information can show gaps in your processes and identify new opportunities to improve performance and gain a competitive edge.
“I am very impressed with the Dynamic Benchmarking tool. It has a lot of great features and I think using this tool to collect the Business of Certification Benchmarks survey data will prove to be very useful for credentialing organizations,” says Trish Young, M.A., Associate Director of Psychometric Services at Kryterion Global Testing Solutions.
Young, who serves on the ICE R&D Committee and helped in the development of the tool, also notes the custom features available, allowing organizations to drill down into insights that are relevant and meaningful to their organization specifically. “The tool will allow survey respondents to benchmark their organization against other credentialing organizations of their choosing, and create personalized and customizable reports, charts, and graphics.”
All data collected by June 15 will be reviewed and included in ICE’s executive summary produced by the R&D subcommittee. All data is held confidential and only reported in the aggregate in the platform and the executive summary. The executive summary is expected to be released in late summer.
